Hello Shamrocks!

Welcome to the latest edition of the Shamrock Scoop. This week, our updates come with mixed emotions. While we celebrate our seniors beating TCG to make their first league final since 2017, we are also reflecting on the sudden loss of Patrick Reynolds our U7s coach and the upcoming anniversary of Tosh’s passing.

Seniors Make It To The League Final

Sunday, 4th July

North London Shamrocks 2-11 Vs 0-5 Tir Chonaill Gaels

The seniors passed another test against TCG on Sunday, securing their spot in the league final. The game started slowly, with TCG playing keep ball without ever really troubling our defence. Our lads remained patient and capitalised on TCG’s mistakes, leading to a 6-0 scoreline at halftime.

In the second half, NLS began to put the squeeze on and were rewarded with two goals. Despite a few lapses and stray passes that allowed TCG to score a few points, it was a strong performance overall.

Now, we eagerly look forward to the league final in Ruislip on Sunday, where we will face our old friends from Barnet.

The sudden loss of a great man: Patrick Reynolds RIP

The club and the entire London GAA community are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of one of our beloved U7s coaches, Patrick Reynolds, on Friday 2nd August 2024. Before Sunday’s game, our seniors held a minute of silence in his honour. This tragic news is a stark reminder to never take anything for granted.  Our thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Tosh’s 1st Anniversary Mass

We’re gathering to remember Tosh on Saturday, 10th August at 6 PM at St. Monica’s Church, Palmers Green. Please join us to celebrate his life.
