A Quick Look Back…
Seniors Make History by Beating Fulham Irish
London Senior Championship Semi-Final
6th October 2024 – Ruislip – 15:00
North London Shamrocks 1-10 vs 0-6 Fulham Irish
In a historic moment for the club, the seniors pulled off a stunning victory against last year’s champions, Fulham Irish. The semi-final was a tight battle, especially in the first half, with both sides showcasing tough defensive play. Dan Clarke and Joe McGill kept the scoreboard ticking with some clinical free-taking, bringing the Shamrocks into halftime with a 2-point lead.
In the second half, Fulham pressed hard, but Shamrocks held firm. As the champions began to tire, fresh legs from the bench gave the Shamrocks the edge, with Diver, Carroll, and Clarke extending the lead. A crucial turnover from James Hynes set up Diver for a spectacular goal, sealing the 1-10 to 0-6 win.
With this victory, the Shamrocks advance to their first-ever London Senior Championship Final, where they’ll face a formidable St Kiernan’s side. It’s sure to be a battle, but the team is ready for the challenge!

NLS Girls Have a Bonnie Time in Scotland with London U18s
It was a memorable weekend for Erin Giblin and Ruby Walls, who represented North London Shamrocks as part of the London U18 squad in the British Feile in Glasgow. Despite many NLS players being unavailable due to A-Level exams (good luck to them all!), Erin and Ruby stepped up, orchestrating play from midfield for London Whites and London Greens.
The two London teams faced off against Scotland, Hertfordshire, and Warwickshire in a day of intense competition—and for once, it didn’t rain in Glasgow! Both teams made it to the Cup Final, where they faced each other in a thrilling match that could have gone either way.

Shamrocks’ Success Makes It Back Home
Our historic win over Fulham Irish didn’t go unnoticed back in Ireland! In the pouring rain of McGovern Park, North London Shamrocks reached their first London Senior Championship Final, a milestone achievement. You can read it on The42 HERE (its behind a paywall so we’ve copied the text below too):
North London is green
In the pouring rain of McGovern Park, Ruislip, history was made in the London championship on Sunday as North London Shamrocks reached their first county senior final, beating Fulham Irish 1-10 to 0-6. Might not seem like a big deal, until you consider how this cup is shared out. Relative newcomers Fulham Irish, St Kiernan’s and Tír Chonaill Gaels tend to win it every year. Neasden Gaels snatched one in 2010, St Brendan’s in 2006 and Kingdom Kerry Gaels in 2004. North London Shamrocks was formed out of an amalgamation of various clubs around the Wood Green / Tottenham area, most notably another club by the name of Shannon Rovers/ Sam Maguires, which was in itself an amalgamation of Sam Maguires and St Theresa’s. The team is managed by former Donegal player Peter Witherow and had a strong Donegal contingent, including Michael Carroll. This is their 20th anniversary. A London title would be some way to mark it but they are up against a strong St Kiernan’s side in the final.
