Seniors Secure Draw in Tough Battle Against Wandsworth Gaels

In a hard-fought match at Tottenhall Rec Ground, NLS Seniors managed to secure a draw against Wandsworth Gaels, with both teams scoring 2-12. The game was a wake-up call for lads, highlighting the need for improved work rate and discipline.

Despite a challenging performance, the Shamrocks showed resilience by clawing back to level the score and nearly snatching a win towards the end. The team’s determination and refusal to give up were commendable traits.

Reserves Fall to Parnells Despite Strong Start

23 June – Tottenhall Rec Ground
Final Score: North London Shamrocks Reserves 2-3 – 5-12 Parnells

The North London Shamrocks Reserves began their match against Parnells with a promising start, leading at halftime. However, the second half proved challenging as a wave of injuries and the heat took its toll, allowing Parnells to dominate and secure a 5-12 to 2-3 victory.

This match served as a big lesson for the reserves, emphasising the importance of regular training and focusing on simple, effective play rather than looking for the superstar finish. The team’s early performance showed potential, they can build on this experience.

U13s Blitz at St Kiernan’s 

Our U13s participated in a lively Blitz at St Kiernan’s, facing off against various clubs. The young Shamrocks showcased their skills and sportsmanship in a series of competitive matches. Well done!

Following the game on Sunday, we held the much-anticipated All Ireland ticket draw. Congratulations to our lucky ballot winners:

☘️ Our All Ireland Football Final Squares Competition!

Keith and Barney are in a friendly race for popularity with our All Ireland Squares Competition, and right now, Barney’s charisma is stealing the show. Poor old Keith could use some love! ☘️

Why not drop them a message and join the fun? You could win up to £600!

Rules:

Scores are converted into points at 20 mins, half time, 55 mins, full time, and the end of extra time (if required).
The last digit of the teams’ total points at those times determines the winner.
How it works:

For example, if “Team 1” is winning 2-6 to 9 points at half time, that’s 12 points to 9. The winner would be Row 2, Column 9.
Each winner receives £150.
Price:

£20 per box or three boxes for £50. Boxes must be purchased before the game starts.
Organisers’ decision is final.
