A Quick Look Back…
Seniors Secure Solid Win Against Parnells
Wednesday, 17th July
KELTIC TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL – Seniors – Northwick Park – 19:30
North London Shamrocks vs Parnells
A solid win for our seniors last Wednesday against Parnells in the league, with a final score of 1-6 to 3-11! The team displayed a strong performance, better defense, and true character in the face of challenges. While it’s an exciting victory, it’s important we stay grounded and refocus for the tougher test this Saturday. Let’s keep the momentum going!
Seniors Edge Past Round Towers
Saturday, 20th July 2024
KELTIC TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL – Seniors – Mitcham – 16:00
North London Shamrocks vs Round Towers
The seniors came up against a well-organised Round Towers outfit at the weekend. The first half was tight, with the teams going score for score. However, the Shamrocks managed to go in at the break a point up. Towers got the first score of the second half to level it, but with the aid of the wind, the boys started to put some nice passages of play together to pull away and win by 8 in the end. Still a long way off hitting top gear, but there are clear signs of potential. The boys look forward to hosting Fulham on Thursday, which will be the third league game in 10 days.
NLS Girls Compete at Tara Tournament
Saturday, 20th July 2024
Green Build Environmental Tournament – Tara Park – Northolt Rugby Club
North London Shamrocks Girls Teams (U12 -U18) vs Tara’s & Various Teams
Our U14s were out for the annual Greenbuild Ladies Tournament hosted by Tara GFC, which saw clubs competing from across London, Herts, and Donegal from U12 up to U18. Following on from our U14s success at last week’s Championships, the girls battled hard in their group games, only to go down to losses against eventual cup winners, St Joseph’s, Gael London, and a closely fought game against St Kiernan’s. This placed NLS into a head-to-head Plate final against TCG once again. Unfortunately, after a close first half, TCG scored decisively early into the second half to give them a lead they were able to defend to the final whistle. Not the result we wanted, but we battled to the end with a bare-bones squad with no substitutes available. A well-earned summer break for the girls after an action-packed succession of games over the last month, and we look forward to going again after the summer break.
Young Shamrocks Enjoy St Kiernans Blitz
Sunday, 21st July 2024
Blitz U7/9/11 – Barnet Lane – 09:30
North London Shamrocks vs St Kiernans & Various Clubs
NLS U7s, U9s, and U11s played their final bit of football before a well-deserved summer break at our neighbours St Kiernans on Sunday. In lovely weather, both clubs served up some wonderful competitive football at all three age groups, making it a very enjoyable day. Many thanks to St Kiernans for hosting us. We look forward to reconvening after the holidays.
Reserves Show Heart Against St Kiernans
Sunday, 21st July 2024
DIVISION 4 FOOTBALL LEAGUE – Reserves – Tottenhall Lane – 12:00
North London Shamrocks vs St Kiernans
Unfortunately, the pleasantries in evidence at Barnet Lane earlier in the day were in short supply at Tottenhall, as a ruthless St Kiernans scored 5 early goals in a blitz not seen since… last week at Wandsworth…
Fair play to the lads who kept trying until the end and played some wonderful attacking football. However, coach Paul Ronane got the dreaded “vote of confidence” from chairman Keith Egan. Rumours of Keith being seen discussing the position with a GAA Legend in Dublin last week turned out to be false, as it was only Brian Galvin he was speaking to. Welcome back (for the summer) Brian.

The last digit of the teams’ total points at those times determines the winner.
How it works:
